Introducing this year's keynote speaker: Mychal Johnson
We are thrilled to introduce our 2021 keynote speaker, Mychal Johnson! Mychal is an inspiring and accomplished environmental activist. He co-founded South Bronx Unite, an organization that focuses on fighting for environmental justice, combating relocation in the south Bronx, raising awareness of high asthma rates in the south Bronx, and pushing officials to combat environmental injustice. As an active community member, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Bronx Council for Environmental Quality, the South Bronx Community Land Stewards, and the NYC Community Land Initiative. He is also on the Watershed Advisory Committee of the Park’s Department Harlem River Watershed and the Community Advisory Board of Columbia University’s NIEHS Center for Environmental Health in Northern Manhattan. Additionally, he attended the United Nations Climate Summit as one of the 4 civil society delegates in the US.
