In response to the COVID 19 pandemic we have decided to postpone the Bronx Youth Climate Summit to Saturday May 16, 2020 and shift it to a virtual format. Additionally, we have decided to open the conference to all high school students and educators, not just those in the Bronx.

Our Mission

The mission of the first ever Bronx Youth Climate Summit is to virtually bring together high school students and educators to learn about environmental justice and activism in the Bronx. We have invited scientists, conservationists and youth activists to lead virtual workshops showcasing the many different ways that people have fought climate change and its effects. The end goal of the summit is for each school group to create a climate action plan to bring back to their community. We hope to show participants that any talent, skill or profession can be used to address climate change and give them the tools to affect change in their communities.
